Getting back into the blogging scene...
I am thinking about getting back into the blogging scene. It's been a while since I've done it and I really want to get back into it. There's been a lot of things going on in my life and I feel like I should just put it all out there and save it at least for memories.
First of all, I am now an ABO Certified Optician with my job! I am so happy that I passed and got it. I feel so accomplished because I finally did a program that is worth something. It feels so nice to have been through the process and actually learn your trade and then get a certification. It makes me so happy!
I moved into a different apartment. I wish that I could live closer to my job now that they transferred me to our other location, but that is just going to be too much for us right now. We really don't need to think about moving at the moment. Maybe in another year or two we can start again.
My husband is not working anymore. He is now going to school to become a nail tech at the Ft. Worth Beauty School. He starts on Monday and is going to be doing that for a couple of months. After he is done with school it will be around Christmas time and we are going to be going to Arizona to visit my family down there. My moms birthday is also on Christmas Eve so it'll be nice for her to have all her kids for that occasion. I am quite excited for that.
Josh is going to stay with my mom for about 2 weeks after that to train with my mom who has her own nail salon. He is going to learn hands on with real customers how my mom does her business and how to treat customers and what not. Im really excited for him. It does suck though that we will be away from each other for a couple of weeks but this is going to be good for his future career of being a nail tech and then opening his own nail salon.
Me on the other hand. Sigh. I am just... I don't know. Lost is not the word I am looking for. I absolutely love my job. I just feel that it might not be enough for me. I do have an interview for a wedding planner assistant and getting into that part time. I think that would be a good part time hobby that I could do to earn some extra cash. I just want a little more creativity to be brought out. More hands on.
I am also considering going back to school. I would love to take a design course. I just don't know what kind. Interior, fashion, or graphic. Interior would be great because I love observing rooms and thinking of ways I could make it better or of ways that it could have been made to have better functionality. Fashion design would be awesome too. I love to draw pretty girls in dresses and other outfits and if I did that it could definitely help me piece the things I would like to make together. A fashion merchandising degree would help too if I wanted to open up my own optical. Or take over my bosses job. And then there's the graphic design degree. I love graphic design but it's just too much for me. I love but don't love sitting in front of the computer.
And then there's the wedding planning thing.
Maybe I'm just jumping the gun right now. I am taking and thinking things too fast at the moment. I have a whole year to think things through before I can go to school.
AHHHHHH! Just so much on my plate right now. I should probably just focus on the now and slow down with thinking about the future.

Monday Weekend Recap: Jeremiah's and Jessica's Birthday
Hey guys! Sorry that I didn't update this on Monday. I should have but I was extremely busy. First of all, Friday was a blur. My husband worked on Friday and after he got out of work I picked him up and picked up some resume's and applications so I could apply and turn them in at the City of Hurst. So that was exciting. Then we went to Grand Buffet for Joshs sister Jessica's 21st birthday! The food was pretty alright. It was pretty exciting.
The next day our roommate brought her child to us and we took her to my cousin's son Jeremiah's 3rd bday. That was A LOT of fun! We had shish-ka-bobs, sausages, burgers and pasta salad! It was all really yummy. The only thing that sucked was all the wind that went crazy when we were putting up the decorations. We had a good time, playing with the kids and eating. As always, we took thousands and thousands of pictures. It was so much fun seeing all the little kids playing. I missed my cousins and stuff so it was a good thing to see them again. The best thing about that day I think was when Alexcia was literally chasing her shadow all around the park! It was so funny!
They played at the park which was so huge and fun! There were swings and see-saw's and a huge wooden complex that was really cool too. We played with the kids and watched them slide down the slides and the joy of seeing them was just a very good feeling.
My cousin pulled out a blanket thing we laid down and talked and watched the kids run around. They played pin the horn on the dinosaur because Jeremiah LOVES dinosaurs and they were just so happy!
After that, we just went home and Maria picked up her child and we went back to my cousins house just to talk a little and then went back home.
Sunday we took my cousin to the church that we like in Arlington. I love that church, it's so fun and everyone is so welcoming and filipino but there was way more people there than when we went last time. It was crazy. It was kinda awkward because that day they were talking about Missions and Missionaries and Evangelism and we don't really like that. We like coming to church to hear about the word of God but we don't like to preach it ourselves or talk to others about it. Sure, I can say, I'm a believer but I don't want to be labelled a Catholic, Pentecostal or anything like that. I am a Christian, I do believe in God but in a general sense.
I'll get into it more later in a different post.
After that, we went home and ate a little and then we went to the Fort Worth Nature and went hiking for a little bit, just to check out the animals and get a little exercising done whilst enjoying the nice spring heat. =]. And that was my weekend!
