Press Play Weekend Playlist: Chill & Vibe

Hey guys! I'm Adrian and this is Press Play Weekend Playlist.

This week's theme is Chill and Vibe.

Whether you are in your room snuggling on a cozy bed, doing homework, or in the throes of a passionate match of Super Smash Bros. This playlist will set the mood for any situation.

I've been listening to this playlist all week and let me tell you, I've been cruisin', groovin', vibin', and movin'.

I was feeling butterfly's with Mariah Carey's *sings* We Belong Together, I was also feelin' real sexy and into myself with Johnny Stimsons "So. Good.", or I was feelin' some type of way with Frank Ocean's "Thinkin' Bout You."

Although the real standout song in this playlist is the last song, "Die Trying" by Michl. I actually heard this song because I was going through Zac Efron's Twitter and saw a post where he posted this song and I just absolutely loved it. I think it embodies both Chill and Vibe.

I hope you guys enjoy it. Here's Press Play: Chill and  Vibe.

Mariah Carey - Infinity Single Cover + Lyric Video

As most of you guys know, I am absolutely in LOVE with Mariah Carey. She is my favorite singer of all time. So I am so excited to hear that she has a new song and video that came out today! It's called "Infinity" and from what I thought at first, I thought it was going to be an empowering song, kinda reminiscent of "Almost Home". That was not the case, this is actually more of a break up song that is like her song, "Up Out My Face". With lyrics like,
Everything you own boy, you still owe.
It sounds like she is ready to shoot Nick Cannon, or maybe some other guy. I don't know but let me tell you... I LOVE IT! It's very 90s which is great nostalgia for #lambs like me. I really hope that this single does well because I really want her to have her 19th #1 hit so it can solidify her as the best, which she is for sure the only female with 18 #1 singles so now we have to beat the Beatles.

Now she is going to be at Caesar's Palace in Vegas tonight for her #1 Residency Kick Off Event and I wish that I could be there but alas, I will not. I'm really hoping to go during her residency which is going to start May 6th. We will see. Only time will tell! You can purchase tickets at the Caesar's Palace website.

For now, here is the single cover and the lyric video! I hope you enjoy!

Day 13 - Favorite Musician and why???

My favorite Musician is Mariah Carey... Why? Because she is amazing. She has the voice of an angel. 5-octave range. She is bi-racial and writes her own music. She is the artist of the millenium. Best selling female artist. More number one hits than any solo act. Need I say more?

She has inspired a lot of musics top artists and singers and even today she is relevant in the music industry. She can belt she socks off of anyone. I don't know. She just has that star power that makes her music so relatable and amazing.

Her song 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' is number 1 on the Holiday charts every year since 1996! And will be for more years to come. She never has to reinvent herself and always comes back... I mean, she never left! and I don't think she will go either.

She also has her acting career which I love. I love her movies, all of them are really good too! Well I think that they are. Her movie Precious was really good.

I don't know what I would do without her. I don't even think that I would be singing if it wasn't for her!

My Top 5 Favorite Movies

Hey guys, guess what? I'm sitting here watching Prince of Egypt and crocheting. It's exciting huh? LOL. Well anyways, I wanted to share with you guys my top 5 Favorite movies. Here is goes!

5. Deep Impact

I absolutely love this movie. Every time I see it I bawl my eyes out. Elijah Wood was such a cute kid. He looks the same after all these years. Lee Lee is also beautiful as well. I'm jealous. This movie is like Armageddon but for some reason I like this movie more. It's about a kid who sees what looks like a star, I think? or a comet or planet or something and then they find out that it's a huge rock plummeting to Earth. The part that gets me is the part where the blind guy talk to his girlfriend and little baby for the first time and they are crying to each other. I start crying so hard at that part! Such a touching movie! I recommend it if your staying in on a cold and rainy day.

4. Glitter

A lot of you guys thought this was gonna be number one huh? NOT!!! I love this movie too. I know, a lot of you guys are like... WTF? Why is this on there? This was such a horrible movie! I beg to differ. I absolutely love Mariah Carey and I think she does a decent job of acting in this. It's not too bad. The music in this movie is fantastic, especially her ballads. I love stories of people becoming famous and the troubles they go through. The romance could have been better but I still like it. Never Too Far melts my heart and she has an amazing voice. Two thumbs up for me. Another plus is I have a memory about this movie in which a friend of mine and I looked all around town trying to find this movie because we loved it so much, LOL.

3. The Harry Potter Movies

I love these movies. I know I said 5 movies and in this series there already 7 with one more coming out, but I love these movies. I love watching these movies and seeing the characters grow up. For me, I'm a visual person so I like the movies, but I have read the books and they are very good. These are very epic movies and I could sit around and watch them all day. Also, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint are super majorly hott and should make out sometime.

2. Dirty Love

This is one of the funniest movies ever. I love it a lot. Jenny McCarthy's humor is so odd and matches mine a lot as well. Carmen Electra plays a black girl and does it really well, it's so funny. The story is funny too. It's about a girl who finds her cheating boyfriend with another woman and looks for a one night stand. I can quote this entire movie from memory, it's sick. My friends and I used to have so many inside jokes about this movie and we would watch it everyday.

1. The Litte Mermaid

Now if you are a friend of mine, then you should know that this is my absolute favorite movie ever. It was my first movie I ever remember watching and I actually have this really embarrassing story about this movie. My cousins and aunts and whatnot would actually put a towel around my legs and put me in a bathtub and I would sing the songs from the little mermaid. I remembered all of the songs and would always sing them everywhere. My cousins said that it was my favorite thing to do. Even to this day I love watching that movie.

Well thats it's these are my favorite movies. I hope you guys liked them. Tell me what your favorite movies are and let me know. My husband is calling me (literally) and telling me to come to bed. So i'll talk to you guys later! =]

Mariah Carey is coming to Dallas!

Yes ma'am! I'm super excited! That's right, my IDOL Mariah Carey is coming to the Nokia Theater in Dallas, TX on February 18th, 2010! Tickets go on sale on December 18th, 2009. I'm definitely marking my calendar and hopefully saving up to buy tickets for Josh and I to go see her. I haven't seen her since her Charmbracelet Tour in 2006 and it was amazing! I went with my friend Alyse and we had one of the most amazing experiences ever! It was a Christmas present from Alyse's parents and it was the best. I cannot wait to go see her again. So it's time to put up my donations button for PayPal, saving from work, searching parking lots and jeans for extra change and putting up a fund for these tickets!
